This is my new 85gal bowfront tank with a Amazon I Pangea background and some fish.

Here is my tank before getting set up, it is complete with stand and storage and canopy with dual lights:

Here it is with the background installed. The background allowed me to hide all the tubing and filter hoses behind it. I have the filter intake coming down from one of the rocks on the background and the return is also hidden bewteen some rocks. The airline hoses are hidden underneath below the gravel. I am also using an external heater so you see almost no equipment in the tank aside from just the end of the filter intake:

Here is the tank completely decorated, I used silk plants and synthetic (resin) driftwood:

Here it is filled with water and fish (pic came out bad, made it look cloudy):

totally agree with you, I think if you are gonna have a tank its like haviong that little piece of nature in your home, might as well make it look realistic :good:

Thanks for the compliments.

I have a few other fish in there that I could not get good shots of.

I have some Hi-fin white clouds, a Synodntis Eupterus cat (don't know the common name) who always hides, a Lyretail Silver mollie and some various Platies.

I would like to get the following:

Retriculated Hillstrean Loach
Dwarf Cory cat, Sterba's cory cat and Nanus Cory cat
Leopard frog Pleco or Queen Arabesque Pleco
Various Shrimp
Licorice and Sparkling Gourami
Golden Lyretail Panchax Killifish
Some more peaceful Chiclids

asian rummy nose....nice fish selections!

Those are not Asian Rummynose, they are Rummy Nose Tetras from South America.

Rummy Nose Tetras look like this:

Asian Rummynose (from the Malaysia-Indonesia area), also known as Rummy Nose Rasbora, Sawbwa Barb and Naked Micro Rasbora look like this:

That tank is absolutely stunning and your fish are beautiful!
Can I ask where you got the backing from, never seen one like that before?

Thank you.

I bought the background from here: http://www.aquariumhabitats.com/

It is made by Pangea.

I see you are in the UK, according to Pangea's website, their UK dealer is:

Thank you so much for that!
We deal with them where I work so should be able to track one down. We have the Juwel tree stump background in our 5ft tank but I want something different for my 3ft and that looks perfect!
Was it expensive?

Unfortunately they are very expensive, mine was $280. for 50" x 24".

I will say that it was WELL WORTH IT!!

It looks awesome!!
