My 75g Tank - with new plants

Hiya, this is my tank after its makeover, this time + the new plants I bought yesterday

looks like a Trigon tank?

if so the best improvment is to cut out the filter box and use an external because....

it looks SOOOO much better

it gives lots more space

and

the external will do a better job

otherwise its cool!

Absolutely beautiful

Yeah I'd like to get rid of my black filter box too - the only snag is that they tank has to be empty
Not a task I'm keen to undertake - eternal filter or no external filter

Thanks for the compliments I like the sound of getting rid of the filter, but it would be a big task We'll be getting some larger rocks to build it up more soon to hide the filter better. it is a trigon by the way

I love it - especially the statues and to be honest I really didn't notice the filter box until it was pointed out, it blends into the background pretty well.

Yeah, it is a bubble bar (well jus a long airstone, only a couple of quid!) I put new lighting in recently, with one bright natural light bulb and a marine blue one. It really brings out the colours. The 2 small bulbs at the back are still normal too.

Really interested to know which plants you have - especially the ball ones at the front. Are you fertilising or using CO2 ?. I'm looking to get a similar effect in my tank - mostly rock but enough plants to make it interesting. I'm not looking for the completely planted tank look (great though they are).

Right now I'm not sure which/how many plants I can put in without getting into anything more complex than a lighting upgrade. At first glance (with the rocks and blue light) I thought it was a marine tank. Does the blue light bring out the colours of the fish ?
