Last night I decided to see if I could get some reasonable pics - first time I'd tried tank/fish pics, so rather more failures than good ones.

Still, I got a few I was reasonably happy with, for now.

So here, a pic of the tank and one of each of: Black Widow Tetra, Yoyo Loach and Dwarf Neon Rainbow (in fact the ONLY one of a Rainbow that was even remotely in focus. :hyper: )

the paterns alot more constant. its still a nice fish. pakistani loach, i tend to find them alittle more aggressive as they age. not as friendly as a clown loach.

Eh? I'm pretty sure it had marking very much like the pic you attached - but it has since grown and the markings seem to have changed.

It was my understanding that I had a Botia Lohachata, a.k.a. Botia almorhae - common names:
Yoyo loach, Almorha loach, Pakistani loach or Reticulated loach. This info from loaches.com.
Body markings can be very variable in this species, and there is a marked difference between juveniles and adults. Adults develop more "in-fill" of the juvenile markings to a point where the whole fish may be reticulated, hence one of its common names.
