Here is Harri's 3 gallon Betta nano aquarium

http://www.tropicalfish.site5.com/tfc/showthread.php?t=83952

It has 25W heater (temperature 27oC)
11W overhead lumineire ( 8 hours a day)
small filter
CO2 tablet dispenser

mainly low level light plants (anubis nana, java moss, java fern) but i also have dwarf hair grass and an unknown plant. (i'm going to put in a medium lengthe grassy plant to disguise the filter a little better)

I have had Harri for almost 2 years and he is is my 1st Betta. (I tried him in a 10g tank with platties and shrimp when i 1st got him but he is a little hermit who definately prefers his own company) He seems happy enough as he regulally makes bubblenests. (Should i leave them as I usually disperse them when doing a water change?)

I do 25% water changes once a week.
I feed Harri mainly on live and frozen blood worm but he aslo eats tropical flake food and rather cruelly i occasionally feed him platty fry. I have tried tubifix worms, betta pellets and vegetables but he doesn't bother with them) (is there anything else i could try?)

Any tips/ advice or comments would be appreciated.

Looks like a really nice set up!! Is there anything covering the top of the tank? If not, be careful as he might jump. I really like that set up though, and the fishy looks pretty!

One of my bettas really likes bananas, you could try giving him that.

It's up to you whether or not to take out the bubble nests, they eventually fall apart or pop anyway. Taking them out will keep him busy and give him something to do...

He's cute, lovely planted tank, I havent been brave enough to try live plants yet! Have you tried daphnia and brine shrimp?

Have you tried daphnia and brine shrimp?

I have fed him on sea monkeys (which are a hybrid form of brine shrimp) but he doesn't eat frozen brineshrimp or daphnia
I will try him with a bit of banana later.

(do i need to boil it or anything 1st?)

The tank does have a lid- (but not in the photos) I have placed a piece of glass (from an A4 picture frame) over the top of the tank and cut some rubber tubing to size to place over the egde of the tank to stop the glass from clinking.

i really like that actually might nick some of your ideas now :shifty: :hey:
