I watched that program about MUTANT ANIMALS mwa haa haa haa

anyways...

It was claimed that genetically modified fish started out in a lab to allow them to view how certain organs developed through-out the fishes life. eg The heart.

Scientists could inject jelly fish die into a tiny baby fish cell. And then watch how certain organs develop from being a tiny cell into a fully grown fishy. It is then hoped that this knowledge will help them to understand how us humans develop from cells into fully grown living beings. And hopefully cure more illnesses.

So is it right to alter a fishes genetics if it allows us to understand human beings better and hopefully save lives?

not sure how they will apply the groth of fish to the growth of us though??

I don't really mind animal rsearch TOO much on fish, but cats, to me, are a whole nother story.

genetic modifacations are a gray area for me our DNA is very vyer complex and we don't know enough about what we change to be sure that it hasn't made any harmfull changes but if a fish was GM and we could be sure that it wouldn't hurt or cause and problems then i would buy them.

Reasearch on any animal helps us to undersand outselves because everything in nature works on the same level even though they look different and think differently. and example of this is ppl wit genetic dissorders in most of them ony one tiny set of genetic material is changes and the results can be extensive, same with everything.

apart from helping ppl it also helps us to understand the animals that are being tested.

but animal testin is wrong if the animal suffers.

those cats were just wrong!

i saw that programme a couple of months ago.

those cats are no different to Dachshunds, in my opinion. the only difference being that in dogs it is somehow acceptable.
