Must be a daft question but……

I am completely new to this and have just bought an aqua one platform 37 aquarium. It has a back hanging filter unit with an outlet at the top. The instruction leaflet says fill to within 2cm of the top. Now this outlet looks to be about 2cm from the top. The question I have is do I fill above the outlet or below?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

You want your water level to be at the lip of the outlet of the filter.

Partly fill the hang on filter and turn it on - continue filling until water runs over the spillway, wait a few seconds until there is a constant flow, add more water if required. Remember if you have a power cut or turn off the filter it will not self prime you’ll need to manually prime again.
