Musk Turtles

hello i have just brought two musk turtles and the biggest one of the two bask with its mouth open is this normal

It is very uncommon for Musk Turtles to Bask, they rarely come out of the water ???

In all honesty it doesn't sound like the Turtle is very well at all, what kind of setup are they in?
