Mushroom Question

My big mushroom is shriviling up. What is it doing, is going to die?

they will get big and shrivel and get big and shrivel...dont worry about they, like Ski said, they really are like weeds. Very hard to kill them I tried to smother one to get it off of a rock once and ended up tearing it...now I have two huge shrooms on that rock

When they reach over two inches in diameter you could try propagating them.

How do I propogate them? Is that the only way they spread?

Oh no, they'll spread on their own, quite fast too. I have mine sprouting new ones out atleast every month. You can take it out of the tank, cut the head off the shroom, then slice the head in half with a razor, set the pieces on two shells or pieces of rocks, secure them by wrapping a rubber band around them, then place them back in the tank in a low flow area. Tada, three mushrooms
