It said it was washed and i din't fancy washing 130 lb of sand.... ARGH.

if i just touch it the whole tank goes brown for about 2 hours.... fish seem fine with it but is there a way to cure it with out lifting it all out???? ideas please....

When you do a water change allow the tube to suck up much of the sand and catch it in a new bucket. When you discard the water give the sand a good rinse then add the new, dechlorinised water then syphon back the lot in the same way. After a few times you should be able to get most of the muck out.

A lesson to be learnt by anyone who is starting out......don't believe all that is on the packets. There is no real substitute for a lot of washing of any substrate before use regardless of what is says or you are told.
