I had a deathly allergic reaction about a week ago and have been in and out of the hospital in that time, so I haven't really been caring for my fish. I told my mom to just feed them every other day, turn the light on in the morning and off when she went to bed - exactly like I do. She did her best... (Now I know why we lost so many fish when I was little) They were majorly over fed.
I came home to find my oldest Molly dead at the back of the tank. She was covered in a fine white fuzz.
One of my other Mollies looks like his slime coat has been compromised, or something. His one side is covered in an almost invisible coating of white stuff, but it's around this area that looks perfectly clear so I'm confused (And it looks nothing like what was covering my other, dead Molly). I posted a while ago about how I thought he would die, but he recovered, only to have this happen. He's the quickest fish in my tank and I can barley get a look at his side, so taking a picture is impossible.
I also think there may be a case of Ich and fin rot in the tank but I'm not sure if I should start that treatment or if I should discover what this mystery thing affecting my Molly is and then try and treat them all.
I don't think it would be good to mix medication so is there anything out there that could treat all three?(assuming this third mystery thing is treatable)
Other info:
Tank is 30 Gal (36X12X18)
Hovers around 76-78
Stock is in my sig.
All readings normal (I did a 80% water change when I got home - though that was more to clear the tank than to change the reading levels, though I'm sure they were out of wack too.)
