Moving Tank

Kinda off-topic, but we had to use a wheel barrow to move my completely empty 80 gallon into my room when I first got it
There was no way we could have carried it anywhere, it was all we could do to lift it onto the stand!

Lol, dont tell us that!

In a couple of years, maybe sooners, I wanna set-up a 125G in our basement... down a flight of old wooden stairs. :dunno:

Getting it down the stairs isn't a problem. Getting it down the stairs IN ONE PIECE is a different story. They are definitely heavy. My 75 gallon was heavy enough that it strains 2 people to move it completely empty. On the good side, a 125 gallon will be acrylic instead of glass so it will probably weight less than my 75 gallon.

Slightly OT, but if you're moving a large empty tank (50G+), I've always put it on an old curtain folded in half, and used the curtain to pick it up. No bleeding fingers that way, and less likelihood of dropping it.
