Moving My Tank To Different Room~ Help

Ok i got this 30g In my current room and im soon moving it to my new room **wehcih was my brothers but we dicided to switch rooms**
Reason= A sink 1M away from the tank

Well im just wondering ive never done this *Properly* before *Hopefully untill now* and ill just share how im going to do and and please tell me if im doing it wrong or right ok here goes
Firstly im gonna put 70Percent of the water to my 20g **Totally empty* and then take out the fish and put them in my 20g with the old water from the 30g and of couse ive already taken out the decorations then im gonna empty out the leftover Water or maybe i could Gravel vac most of the *poos* out then ill move the tank to the place and then i can put the 20g water in my 30g then New water for it to fill up then Decorations and plants and fish.. please tell me if this is the correct way to do it

what do u guys do with all the Poo that stir around the tank when ur pouring the new water in the tank?

well this is a small technique i use when fill up a tank. so basically it sounds like your putting 75% of the water back in so i would get a giant up and let it sit in the middle of the tank and pour the water slowly into the cup so it fills up and overflows smoothly, once the level is high enough the cup will usually float off then just pour the rest in smoothly usually onto a solid decoration and if there is any mess it won't be that big and you won't have to worry about all the junk floating around.


about emtying the tank i'm not 100% sure if thats the right way but it sounds good to me.
