I just tested the water in my ten gallon tank. The ammonia is back to 0...the only reason it was at 0.25 a few days ago was because I had way to many fry in there...but after moving the fry out and doing some very large water changes it is fine again. The stats in the betta water are the same as in the tank. (I know I'm so ashamed of keeping my betta in a bowl...but it's two gallons with ariation and constant water changes...stupid lfs...) I really want to move him into my ten gallon. Can I do that tonight with my stats being okay again?

I don't see why you couldn't, so long as you acclimate him just like any other fish in a new tank.

Wait so should I bag him, float him in my tank and every couple of minutes add a little bit of tank water into the bag then finally release him? Ooh I'm so excited to see him in the tank

Yes, just like that. If you're confident your water is ready.

Just an aside ... when I bring new fish home from the LFS, I do all that but instead of releasing them with the water, I net them and release them. You shouldn't have to worry with this, though.

okay...I really hope klaus gets along with my stock...if he doesnt than he has to go back to his 2 gallon.

yea...I have some 3 week old balloon molly fry in there...they may get eaten...but I hope he doesnt kill my balloon mollies or female guppy! or shrimp...I will be keeping a close eye on him for sure!
