Hi all, I know I have asked this in the past but now the time has come to moving and I am starting to panic, I have bags from my LFS for the fish to go in but now my major worry is the water. Should I get rid of all my water and start again with all new treated water i.e 100% water change. I dont have anything big enough to transport that volume or weight of water and my headache is getting worse and worse by the minute.
HELP.....

you can use all new water as long as you treat it with dechlorinator,

what is more important is you dont let the bacteria in your filter media die, dont let the filter media dry out, or that is sure to happen,

keep the filter media in a bag by itself filled with your old tank water, and try not to subject it to drastic temperature changes

Thanks for that. I have 2 ex filters and I wasn't planning on emptying them so they shouldn't dry out. As for the 100% water change, I know I am going to have to do it but I am worried lol. I suppose I should just man up and get on with it.

Don't worry, I have done 100% many times when moving tanks around within my own house, I use my python to syphon all the water out, move the tank, refill with proper temp water, I add the dechlorinator when the tank is about 75% full, fill the rest of the tank, then start the filters and heaters, I wait about 15 mins to add the fish, never had a problem

If you are moving far enough that the water supply is different at your new house, I would acclimate the fish slowly to the new water, the same as when you buy fish.

Just an update.
All sorted and moved in, it was stressful and hard work but all worth it and it looks amazing in the new house. I only moved the tank yesterday and had to do aprox 80% water change as I couldn't take enough old water so I am just keeping an eye on my levels. Thanks for all the help and advice guys.
