Moving House

Hello there ppl,
I am about to move house from the Southampton area to near Hastings so quite far but I haven't a clue on where to start with moving my aquarium it's 280L so it's causing me some worry,
I have heard there are some places that take fish for "Holliday" care. Does anyone no where they do this so I can re astablish my tank at the new house before moving the fish.
Any help would be great.

Hi there

I'm pretty certain that most LFS will take fish for a temporary period if they have a tank they can free up. I often see such tanks of fish at my local MA. It's worth asking.

Re moving that actual tank, I guess the options are a) take it yourself in your car if it will fit, that way you have complete control over it. b) threaten the removal men with all kinds of seven hells if you beloved tank gets damaged (joke), seriously, just make sure they are aware on how to handle an aquarium when you book them.
