Hi all

Im due to move house on the 11th of match, but am not moving into the new house until early april so will be moving in with the in laws for a few weeks.

I currently have a Aqua one regency 180 litre tank, what will be the best way to move the tank and fish? I will need to move it into the inlays until the other house is tea for us to move into.

Also how easy is it to change from gravel to sand? And what sand would you recommend.

Sorry for all the questions.

Many thanks

Adam

clean the sand and have it ready for when you move. On moving day, drain some water into a bucket, then drain it down to an inch, net fish into bucket, cover bucket, empty rest of water and scoop out gravel and bin it. clean it up, move tank, put fresh sand in, fill up with water, use hot tap or kettle to bring up to correct temperature, dechlorinate. fire up filter, leave for 5 mins to mix up, double check temp, chuck in fish. win.

if its going to be a long day / long move , you might want to keep the filter in a bucket of old water too and when at new house, chuck a heater in the bucket witht he fish to keep the temp up.

Common sense on the day really.

Did similar recently myself, without the moving part. was epic!
