I want to move my caveblind tetras into my other 16gall with the golden danios' - they are just way to active and the calm peaceful gourami's just get beaten to the food and bullied, their not fighting the caveblinds just don't seem to care who's way their getting in and they're vicious with their food - so when theres 1 pellet to go round 3 tetras and 2 gouramis (they're all still very small) it gets a bit unfair...

What I want to know is how can I move them when I have no bags? Whats the best way to get them acclimatised to the temperature and water conditions of the other tank (the conditions are pretty much identical but the temp is lower...).

Thanks!

Low temp = add a heater

Water chemistry similarities induced by transferring over some tank water and media.

As for what I know about these fish, I have read they are best kept by themselves, but it they seem happy, I guess it's ok.

No bags for the fish? If so, use a cup (usually for slower fish), or, even better, go to a dollar store and get a bucket, that way you have something to use especially for the fish.

Also, are the gouramis showing any signs of aggression amongst themselves?

I always use buckets, because they are overall less stressful then bags and cups. I have also ended up using my bathtub and sink once, just make sure none slip down the drain

Thanks! It already has a heater...it is just a slightly lower temp tank than the other...but caveblind fish have a temp range thats fine in both - just didn't want to shock them with a rapid change.

They seem with the other fish - except for at feeding time - but I am moving them to a more 'cavey' tank I was just waiting to cycle.

The Gourami's are fine...they just swim around together on their own? Why? Would you suggest more or less of them? (This would be do-able)
