Well my parents are re-carpeting on Thursday and I have an empty 55 gallon which I'm going to use as temporary housing for the fish until they get the carpeting done and the tank to be set up. which should take about 24 hours give or take and we are going to use the same tank water they are in in the 55 gallon but would I have to re-acclimate them like I would if they were new fish because they are changing tanks even if its the same water. I want to make sure I do this all right so that the fish aren't harmed in the process. Thanks Dave

If you use the same water, acclimation is not necessary :)
