Ya, It'll be very interesting to see how it looks in a week or 2 after they've started their growth spurt. Sometimes I look in there and have search to find many, other times they're all over the place, Lol. I'm sure they're enjoying the space as well as all the hiding places They do come out of the woodwork though when I pour in a bunch of daphnia or BBS, haha.
Aw, what a lovely momma you are, giving them such nice food and a great tank to play in. One question...I have trouble counting my guppy fry, how the bleep did you manage to count all of them? You definitely must be better at maths than I am. Which wouldn't be very hard, come to think of it.
What type of Bettas are they? Veiltails? Crowns? Oh, my daughter used a big Rubbermaid type tub for her fish for awhile and they were just fine in it and they had tons of room too. It didn't seem to bother them being surrounded by opaque plastic walls as they had plants, rocks, filtration, heat and alot of surface area. This was when she was moving and had the tanks all packed up already. So if you need more area just booter on down to Wallyworld and grab a couple of tubs! I imagine you'll have lots of takers for those cute little guys and gals too.
I counted them as I pulled them out of the nursery tank...I would use a platic beanie container lid that is a couple inches deep and scoop out a bunch, count them and put them in the new tank, write down the amount and move on to the next, Lol. Then I'd add it all up afterwards. I do this with all my spawns when I move them, I like to know the amount I have at that point.
They are from single tail, super delta parents (both spawns).
Yep, the rubbermaid idea may be what I'll do, only problem is where to put it, haha...my fishroom is pretty well packed at the moment. I'll figure something out, I always do
