As the title states, I bought some rainbow fish for my tank. A ID one them would be awesome.

Anyway with my current stock I think am overstocked or may need to switch fish up to have these rainbow fish, So any input is more than welcome.

Oh and what kinda filter you got?

Well doesn't seem over stocked to me but if you notice any problems just do bigger water changes or do small ones more often anyways that's just my opinion but good luck with whatever you do :)

Does look like them.
I thought so. And I think as long as you keep up regular water changes you should be ok with that stocking level.

Haha awesome, I heard you love the rainbows too Lunar. I got them for 2 for 10 quid which I didn't find that bad :p

Can't remember what I paid for mine but that's not too bad. :)

That's a really nice tank there!

The price you paid for the rainbowfish is a bargain - they're £10 each in my area. You might have to be careful keeping them with the cardinals as they'll grow enough to eat small fish. It'll probably never happen, but might be best to keep an eye on them when the grow bigger. They're really pretty fish, and it can be a lot of fun watching the males spar with each other.

Wow, nice Rainbows, not seen those in any LFS, nice.

Tank looks really good with those stocking choices.

Excellent!

Not overstocked, though your rainbows might eat the cardinals when they get bigger :p

Also, forgot to add that your fish are yellow rainbowfish (Melanotaenia herberaxelrodi), aka Lake Tebera rainbowfish. The males will develop a beautiful yellow colour when they reach maturity.
