They all appear to be settled now, there are two guppies, and two neons in the tank too

All Water levels are fine too

Beautiful Tanks, I especially love the first one! Nice Job

I have the following fish in there

Golden Nugget Plec
Common Plec
2 male guppies
2 Neon Tetras
2 Angel Fish
2 Clown Loaches
Silver Shark

and the Rekord 60, only has the two Polka Dot Botias in it

Steve

silver sharks are visous

No they aren't, but they DO need to be kept in groups and WILL outgrow the tank, need a 75G minimum as adults.

Also, you seem to have several fish there that need more numbers:

Guppies - 2 males could be an issue
Clown Loaches - 3+ and again will eventually outgrow the tank
Neon Tetra - 6+ and could easily fall prey to the angels although I have heard of people keeping them tohetjer successfuly if there are Neons in the tank first when young angels are added.

Sorry to sound like the voice of doom and gloom, but it's best you know now. :/

Tanks do look nice though.

I had 8 male guppies, and 4 female guppies, but sadly the two I have now are the only two left (a case of bad stock from the LFS

I had 5 Neon's but 3 mysteriously vanished, Silver shark possibly the culprit, as I didnt have the angel fish then

The Neons were in the tank a few weeks before the angels too, and the angels have only been territorial with each other (went in the tank a few weeks apart)

Clown Loaches, I only got one originally, and he seemed very happy to follow and mimic the silver shark everywhere he went, but I decided to get another, and they are happier together now, that the silver shark, usually hangs round with the angel fish :)

Well Neons are pretty renowned for being sensitive, so I'd of thought it more likely they dies of their own accord than the Bala taking them. Clown's can be happy in twos but they come into their own in groups of 3+ IME.

I was going to say, but was already said, the "Silver Shark" will way out grow that tank.
Hate having to tell people that, but unless thats the only thing In their tank, they should remove it.

Looks great sonic mate. Glad everyone is OK.

Some good advice given in previous posts, so I'll just leave it and say the tank does look awesome. Are those plants real?

Thanks everyone for the comments, and for Jules too :)

I thought the Balas only grow to a max of 12" if that is the case, how will it outgrow the tank

The Neons and guppies were the 1st fish I got when I started out with tropical, the neons I believe were eaten, as they were there one minute, gone the next, and no bodies for evidence, and the Bala got bigger

He has grown the quickest tho, I take the point about them being in groups

Sadly only one of the shops I purchased the fish from, actually gave me any advice, so I stick to them now for most things

Jules, no the plants arent real, they are actually blocks with several plants and a couple of rocks on a solid base and are fixed, but they did a large variety in the LFS, and I think they look pretty good :)

I (probably like most other newbies to tropical) bought the fish originally based on what I liked the look of, without too much concern over adult size, and whether they should be in larger numbers, or whether they would all get on

You see them in the tanks in the shops with a right old mix of fish, so i sort of went on that, that if they were ok in the shop, then they would be ok in my tank, and I do know they way overstock in the shops (like 30 paroon sharks in a 20 Gallon tank)

But now there is this forum with a wealth of info, plus my LFS :)

Lovely tanks mate,

I wouldn't have thought that your bala was vicious, I had one and he was nice as pie, :D . they are more likely to get freaked than be nasty.

I used a Canon Powershot A60 in sports mode and no flash, with the room lights off to take the pics, I really want to try and take some with my Canon D30 SLR, on a tripod, but havent had the chance yet :)

My Silver Shark is really calm, he has found some friends in the angel fish, and spends a lot of time with them, now the clown loach has found a new friend

when they hung around together they did a lot of synchronised swimming which was quite amusing to watch
