nitrite:0
nitrate:40 (same as in tap)
tank temp: 27-29 C

Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior):

Male Cockatoo cichlid: Pale gills, blood streaks across the top of his mouth, holes in his top lip (but doesn't look like mouth rot), just generally doesn't look right.

Volume and Frequency of water changes:
30% weekly

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank:

None

Tank inhabitants:

Angel fish, 4 month old cockatoo fry (from the sick male), plecs, corys, tetras, bolivian ram.

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration):

None

Exposure to chemicals:

None
 
Any excess mucas on the gills.
Any signs of flicking and rubbing against objects in the tank.
Red streaking is septicemia hard to cure once it has advanced.
Not sounding to good does the fish look in pain.

None of the above. He doesn't look in pain. Just maybe a bit lethargic but he's never been the most active fish!
 
All you can do is issolate and try anti internal bacteria med.
Anti internal bacteria med by interpet you can double dose in severe cases.
