Mouth Fungus

So I have had my fish for just over 6 months now, and one of my zebra danios has had mouth fungus since the day I added my first stock. The fungus has spread to the mouths of lots of my neons, and seems to be appearing on the harlequin rasboras I just added. It seems any small fish entering the tank is destined to get it.

However, what seems to happen is that these fish get a blob of fungus on their lip, and that's it. It lasts forever; never gets bigger, never gets smaller, never goes away, and ultimately does no real harm to the fish. I have tried loads of medicines and nothing makes the slightest bit of difference. The fungus stays.

Anyone else actually found a cure to REMOVE the fungus entirely from the mouths of fish and the tank as a whole?

In the UK, the best medication for mouth fungus (columnaris) is Pimafix and Myxazin used together. Also lower the water temperature to >25c, it doesnt like lower temperatures and will help stop the spread. Do not be tempted to overdose with the myxazin by even a small amount, use the correct dosage, as Myxazin can affect filter bacteria.
