It is necesary to know the country you are in as the medications available are different. But you need a medication for mouth fungus which is bacterial and not a true fungus. In the States there are several Mardel Products that will do nicely. I have liked using Maroxy and Trisulfa combo recently. Maroxy will hurt the plants though, but Mardel is safe for a cycled tank. But Mardel is not available in the UK. I think it would be an Interpret medication in the UK, but not something I know about.

Is your tank cycled? These things usually come as a result of tank conditions that stress the fish and reduce their immune responses. So it will be necessary to find the cause of the stress and correct it.

yes we are in the uk

we have cyled the tank i followed the guidlines on here for cycling ive done several water tests and everything is fine so the water quality hasnt changed

im just unsure what to do next

thanks for your quick reply

Check your lps for mouth fungus treatment. I know you have interpret and another brand. But your lps should be able to direct you to the meds. Check the labels for treatment of mouth fungus. Ask the lps for the best product. I am sorry. Someone from the UK should help. Maybe this bump will get attention.

You could check the A to Z of common meds above by The Wolf. That eould be a UK thread
