hey, might as well take advantage of you guys being nearby and get some advice . where do you recommend in terms of local fish shops? we tend to use maidenhead aquatics for fish and southern aquatics for electricals.

Best place is Atlantis in charminster, however Modaz here is opening a new shop in pokesdown, 2 shop up from the train station.
Had a lood the other day looks intresting
He's opening this sunday.

i always try to use atlantis<tony there is a great bloke...and prices are great....bosc i have used on the odd few times...again as you say southern aqautics for electricals<always good offers......maidenhead<sssoooo pricey

atlantis is the small one next to the richmond arms right? used to use that when i lived by castlepoint. i know that maidenhead is pricey, but they mostly seem to know what they are talking about. i'm still relatively new to the world of fish keeping and its nice to be able to talk to someone who keeps fish at home not just at work. plus obviously they are nice and close so no long journeys with bagged fish! will have to try and get over to pokesdown on sunday to check out the new shop, is it someone from here setting it up did you say?

yep atlantis is nxt to richmond...i know its a bit dirty looking but you nevr get probs with fish from him and he knows his stuff,think hes been there well over 20years..yes his tag names modaz.
iam newish to the world of cichlids,just over a year now,,,so what fishes have you got?

got a pair of red oscars, called dolche & gabbana (my boyfriend named them) 2 pairs of convict cichlids and looooads of babies. which will be available for sale if anybody wants some?
and a rusty cochilodon. all of them are in a 5ft (120 us gal) tank.

got another 3ft tank, which at the moment has a bristlenose, a khuli loach and lots of guppies. planning to redo that as a planted tank, add some tetras and maybe some barbs and maybe get rid of the guppies.

also have a 4ft tank which is empty at the moment but might become a nursery for the convicts soon.

what have you guys got?
