Most Indestructable Fish!

I'm surprised no one said bettas!
bettas live for months in crap conditions, in conditions danios can bearly imagen.

My vote goes to CAEs, goldfish, and oscars... yes, I got three votes :p

My red tailed shark has been through everything my tank has been through. Not too much except a full outbreak of ich and the temperature dropping and rising real fast cuase of a power outage and he would just sit there and chill like always just chilin at the bottom eatin the algae and hes sooo cool. He has a lil home in like this forest of plants that i made

In my experience, black tetras, certain species of cory, and common plecos are the hardiest fish in the world. I've had mine for years, and they have been through everything you can imagine.

The toughest fish on the planet has to be the climbing perch Anabas testudineus, a fish so tough that it can climb trees in search of food and stay there surviving up to two days out of water. If its home dries up it simply walks to another pond and if the worst comes to the worst and there is no water around it just digs a hole in the ground and hibernates until the rains return to refill the ponds. They were also one of the first tropical fish to be imported to from Asia to Europe traveling by sea for many days, specimins were on display in public aquariums as early as 1870 in tanks with no filters and heated from underneath by bunsen burners .

You got it, early explorers were so amazed to find fish living in trees that they named them and the rest of the Anabantinae family climbing perches.

our peppered corys........theyre over 3yrs old & have been through a massive tank rupture & leak , an auto feeder + timer failure (no food or light for 2 weeks) & severe harrassment from a cae who became aggressive............until we rehomed it! i love them theyre so cute & whiskery pottering around minding their own business or parked up in 'cory corner' in the right side up the back of the tank. :D

Danios must be one of the hardiest fish I know.

And also silver tipped tetras, one of my silvertips has been with me through thick and thin and I have had him for five years.

He is solid, :flex: .

When I was a child my 3 goldfish lived in an unfiltered 2'x1'. They jumped out, survived a heater thermostat blow out that got the water to nearly 40 degrees c, feeding sometimes four times a day sometimes once a month, 100% water changes measured in months/years, no light for years then 24/365 lighting and that much algae you couldn't see in the tank.

They lived to 15, 18, and 25 years. Not proud of the way they were kept, and as I got older their care improved, but if you don't know any better you don't know any better- so no need for observations on their care please!

Got to be x-ray tetras. I was told to do a cycle with fish. these were the only survivors, and have since survived all sorts that some of my other fish never, white spot, algae blooms etc... Not all together. I also had a problem witb one of my tanks and had to change them about to all 3 of my tanks in a short period. Different levels an temps an the y came thropugh that aswell.
