When I finally get around to re-doing my tank (I will get there, I promise!) I ws thinking it would be cool if I could cover the drift wood in moss. And I mean COVER. It has lots of branches and nooks and crannies. I would love to get the whole thing totally green. Has anyone done this? Is it just a easy as attaching it to slate? Or is there more involved since its on a round peice.

It's probably nothing special, just harder to attach to because of the curved lines but the same process. I am planing to do it when I plant My 20 gal.

I guess you would just plant it, and wait for it to grow. It will spread out and with some trimming, can look really nice.

I have java moss over 90% of the wood in my tank. Just cover the wood in moss and tie it with cotton, then wait . Lol its not the fastest growing plant in the world but imo looks great. i just snip it as if your giving it a haircut to keep the shape you want (mind mines a tad wild at mo)

Do you just have it growning on the tops of the wood? or were you able to get it to grow underneath and on the sides as well?

Its every where lol , don't think it would grow under the wood but its certainly top and sides. I trim it so i can get a sort of ball effect on the 3 pieces that stick out (middle and left of pic) the right hand side has just taken over every piece of the wood.
