can you tear them apart so they are flat and get them to stick on to stuff like bog wood?

im guessing you can
 
Yes you can, but on wood I'm not sure it would work. You can do it with flat slate pieces though. I've done it in my 3 gallon in fact. Look

I have no idea if it's stuck or not . It's been set up for about 3 weeks so I doubt it will have yet. Either way the cotton thread is holding it in place . The mossball was broken by one of my loaches so I just prised it open like a broken tennis ball and laid it flat on the slate before tying it on with cotton thread. I sort of sank the cotton into the mossball by tying it tightly and pressing it into the moss with my nail, so it's pretty well hidden for the most part.
 
lol i just bought 2 balls today!! :D was sort of wondering the say thing. dont need to post it now!! cheers
