Hi, I'm thinking about getting some Marimo moss balls and I have 3 tanks that plants can live in to various degrees.
Tank 1: 20gal high with 2.75 wpg, ferts, flourite, and pressurized CO2.
Tank 2: 2.5gal with 5.2 wpg, some ferts, sand, and no CO2(bad idea, will hopefully have CO2 soon).
Tank 3: 15gal with 1 wpg, no ferts, no substrate, no CO2 ( had lots of success with stem plants and java moss, but I don't know why)

Which tank(s) could I grow some Marimo moss balls in? Any info or comments appreciated.

Thanks,

Any of them - I don't think they have any high light or fertiliser needs at all. They are basically an algae.

I think the only things to watch out for are if you use any anti algae treatments as they're not actually moss, but algae as NRY has said. I'm not sure if they preffer cooler water too, but that might be my imagination

I may have read somewhere that shrimp maybe partial to nibbling on them, but that might be my crappy memory making stuff up again
