Hi all, I have 2 large & 4 small moss balls.Today I thought I would give them a squish about to round them off. One of the large ones is refusing to sink to the bottom & is floating at the top. Will it eventually sink???? Have i done any thing wrong???

it will probally sink, try pushing it down a little (maybe weighing it down) after ive squeezed mine clean, the bigger ones take longer to sink, probally being due to having more air in them.

Yeh should sink, try squeezing it then putting it under water and letting go, that'll get most of the air out.

I read that as moss balls photosynthesize, they collect oxygen within and float to the top, then slowly release it and sink again. I have no experience with them, though! Just what I read on t'internet!

if you squeez them out of water they take on air and float it can take days for them to sink... give em a squeez in the tank to push the air out then it'll suck water in

Thanx Guys I now know where I went wrong.Took them outa the water to squish them ????

Ps No Fish killer, you cannot have my "puppy" her names Sophie n shes 4 years old, shes my baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
