I have a pond in the back yard and when my dad drained it because of besquitos (not a big pond, no fish dont worry :)) the mesquitos in it left it and found some of our fish tanks, INSIDE MY HOUSE! i dont knwo what to do, i find them all the time in my room, i get bit and find bites all over me in the morning, and i dont know what to do. Summer is almost over so i know they will leave/die off, but i want to get rid of them now!!! What can i do??? I cant bomb my house because o fthe tanks, i cant use attractant because i dont want to ATTRACT THEM so my guess is repelent, has anyone else had this problem and/or know what to do?

What kind of fish do you have. Fish usually eat mesquitos larvae. Maybe you should buy guppies because I've heard they really like to eat mesquito larvae.

wow, interesting, Ive never heard of this happening.. maybe thats why I get bit so often at night.. My tank is in my kiddos room. ive never noticed any larvae though

thats the wierdest thing, i dont see any larvae!!! They cant reproduce ina tank because of my water flow, but somehow they ar reproducing somewhere!!! All they need is about 2 teaspoons of water to be able to reproduce. I dont know what to do!

all i have right now is a bunch of neon tetra, a couple rams, and a couple gouramis in my main tank, im still stocking it, but in my other i have a bunch of platys, and in another a couple betta

I would search the whole yard for anything that has water in it, like old plant pots etc, and empty them out, and while you are at it take a peek over the neighbours fences and see if they have anything in the yard that mosquitoes can breed in, if they have old water lying around etc, it might be an option to tell them about mosquitoes and how they breed in case they don't know already.

They could be just getting into your tank while looking for new accomodation, hehe
I would think the fish would eat the mosquitoes that end up in there after a while if they are hungry enough depending on what fish you have, mine love insects.

Have you checked up inside the hood of the tank? If I were a bug that's where I'd lay my eggs. :p They like condensation.
