I'm getting a betta, and, after reading through some threads I found out that fish eat mosquito larvae.. special kind, or just ones you find in the yard? Because I have a ton, and I thought it might be interesting to feed the new beta some. :) But I wanted to make sure it was safe.. so... any regulations for that?

That should do. :) Should I just do that, or add some pellets at a regular basis?

I would feed the betta pellets as his regular diet because you can get those anywhere, come winter time it'll be impossible to find misquito larvae out of your yard and if you feed him only that during the summer months, he may become picky for it and you would have to go out to the store and get some and they arent as cheap as regular flakes or pellets. What I would do is get pellets and feed them to him in the morning and then at night feed him the larvae and then when it comes winter you can just feed him the pellets once a day.
