i want to give something different to my giant gourami
some food that he or she will like, i dont know if its a male or female
i have been giving pellets for a long time, what else is there for it to eat.
i know they like vegies but it got diahria last time
what vegies will not do that?

Try cucumber, zuchinni, de-shelled green peas, brine shrimp, bloodworms, daphnia (obviously, larger ones won't be interested in these small live/frozen foods), cichlid pellets (of the vegetarian type fed to mbuna), algae waffers - just vary the diet as much as possible :).

i might want to feed it feeders, but i heard fish can get sick like that
should i, i give my jardini feeders all the time but nothing happens

IMO, it's not a risk you should take for ANY fish that does not require feeders to survive. Besides this, osphronemus gouramies do better on a mainly vegetable-based diet - feeders would be far more likely to cause problems than improve the fish' health.

My guy particularly likes peas, bananas and pears. Obviously you have to cut up the banana and pear into cubes.

Banana's? Are these safe for other inhabitants aswell, ie Royal Plec, Peppared corys, Neon and Rosey tetras and 2 dwarf gourami?

How big a piece is suitable?
