I was replacing the hosing to the pond pumps the other day as the tree behind the filter got cut down :kana: so i was aorund the pond alot and all the goldfish were coming up in the bottom pond while there was nothing running and i spotted a tiny litle fishy so i netted it and it's rudd fry :kana:

As the adult rudd are in the top pond it must of taken the trip down the stream which 3 of last eyars have done aswell

I haven't seen any in the top pond yet but it's easier for them to hide in there!!

Some of last years are up to 2" now.

the goldfish are getting bigger and fatter, some are still brown bt others have been to red and now white

Why do I never get fry?

Paul you make me go :grr:

I want your fish

:p :p

looks like your fish don't know how to get jiggy!! You should get rudd they breed easily.

i also have platty fry in my tropical tank, there in with the crabs for a snack if they can catch em!!

perhaps come spring things will turn around for you ; Assumeing that your fish wouldnt get all of there eggs and fry for lunch.

Perhaps your fish are too young

thats your problem Cat you need to get some catholic fish.
Maybe I'll send all females to pauls pond.

Looks like his fish are randy buggers :p

lol, i know which is one of the males, it's this wicked white and red big goldfish with a lovely long fantail, has really think pectoral fins.

anyways we bought a new waterfall liner bits today for £20 for both peices.

1 of them is a pool and the other a small stream bit, I'm going to put fry into the pool bit rather than putting them inside.

going to be a bugger t re landscape the are to put it though, the old concrete wall is there from the old concrete pond which is solid, so going to have to work aorund it.

Perhaps you could throw in some dirty magazines Cat; That might get them in the mood. Or better yet spen more time around the pond; Your beauty is bound to get them wound up.
