Okay the only one i cold find on fishprofiles.com is this one: Geophagus brasiliensis. Which one of the geos has the nicest colors?
Geophagus surinamensis, IMO
(See signature)

They get about 10", and mine seems to fare pretty well with a larger ciclid in the tank (Severum) :D My sev is about 6", geo 5", but that's from nose to tail ;)

Here, I found a pic of a mature Surinam geo :D

Are you positive that these fish wouldnt tare apart my bala sharks, after all it is a chichlid

Also are they commonly found in fish stores?

I wouldn't keep fish that aggressive ;)

IDK how common they are, I've only seen them in stores 2-3 times :/ It doesn't hurt to look though :) Live aquaria has them for sale, if you are willing to try them.

Yea i wouldnt mind trying them, so your saying that theres pretty much no chance of a Geo killing any of those three fish??

By the way, that mature one has very nice colors i think that one is the prettiest.

My geo doesn't bother any other fish, except for occasional territory disputes (which don't lead up to physical contact, merely displaying) with my gudgeon :)
I could imagine a Geo trying to take a hiding place away from the clown loaches, but fighting probably wouldn't happen :)

Surinam geos start out pretty bland in coloration, but gradually become more and more beautiful  Besides, what they lack in color they make up for in personality

Yea, i love fish with personality, Hey also, i was wondering if you think an Acara or Severum would get along with my fish selection???

I would love to get another chichlid to join the oscar. But i dnt want an agressive one. Im just trying to keep my selection open in case i cant find exactly what im looking for at my LFS's

That's a pretty big tank, so I'd say a sev or an acara could fit, so long as you have good filtration and an adequate amount of water changes :)

Yea but do you think they would get along with the balas clowns and oscar??? liek the geo?
I don't have very much expierience with acaras but severums are very pecaceful for a cichlid :)
