Fish Fanatic
i have a 55 gallon tank that now has 15 fish in it (currently all under 3 inches
)
3 silver lyretail mollies - 2 inches each (one gorgeous male (epic sailfin
), 2 beautiful females)
2 gold twinbar platy males - 1.5 inches each
2 red wag platy females - one 2 inches and one 1 inch
3 australian rainbowfish - two 2.5 inches and one 2 inches
2 peppered corydoras catfish - both under 1 inch (love these guys)
1 common plecostamus - 2.5 inches (i plan on getting rid of him when he gets bigger - my brother could use another one)
1 pictus catfish - 2.5 inches (again, my brother REALLY wanted one of these, but im gonna have to get rid of him when he gets bigger or he'll eat something XD)
1 rubber nose plectostamus - 2.5 inches (a gift from my brother
)
so my first question: am i overstocked? and if i am, will i be not-so-overstocked if i lose the pictus and the common pleco?
and second: do i need more female platies? one of my male golds is very dominant and one of the female red wags is too young to breed, so the dominant male just chases around the other female all day - he doesnt ever bite her and he leaves her alone when i feed them, but im afraid i might be stressing her out.
last question: if i do get one or two more female platies and keep all the catfish, will my tank be too overstocked? Is one or two more females enough?! 2 females seems to be more than enough for my molly male.
thanks in advance
