More Mollies

Hi,
I had noticed one of my female mollies getting fatter and now she's given birth, but so far ive only got 1 fry!?
What sort of time period does it take for mollies to give birth over?

Welcome to the forum JammieDodger. The birth of mollies will take place over a few hours usually. A typical fry drop will be between 20 and 40 for a mature molly. A very young fish having her first drop may be as few s 10 and a very large old female could go as high as 60 or 70 fry. If the female is the only fish in the tank and is well fed, you have a chance of saving quite a few fry. If there are other fish in the tank, the chances for the fry go way down quickly. My own molly gave birth to her fry 32 days ago. This is a picture of her with her fry on day 27.
