More Fry!

I have just got in and found more fry in my tank 5 platy and 1 guppy/swordtail not sure as all fish seem to be pregnant at mo! Anyone would think I had given birth to them myself I get so excited everytime! does anyone else feel like this or does it wear off?

I'm on my 4rth batch of guppy fry and i still get like that ! i love watching them grow and develop there colour because i never know what they're going to look like !!

I got 3 platy fry 3 months old about to go in big tank, 1x 2 week old swordtail, 5x week old guppies and 4x 1 day old platy. I'm loving it husband doesn't understnad have to go on here to let it all out! lol

I still get a bit of a thrill when I find new fry but not like the first time. I do get very excited when it is a fish that I haven't had breed before though. It is one of the things that keeps me exploring new fish varieties. Right now I am moving on to breeding goodeids and Heterandria formosa.

how do you know when the fish are pregnant?

Depends what fish they are, but I just go by their size and shape. Look at the the pinned topicin this section, they are very helpful.

same as what old man 47 said, you lose the buzz a bit after breeding them for 4 years and having kept and raised just over 200 odd fry, and then sold them to my lfs. but still i get excited when i see new fry.

im not as excited anymore, its really exciting when when you first keep guppies, but now its a weekly occurrence for me. i bought 2 rams to clean up any fry (survival of the fittest) but instantly fell in love with the rams
