then there is a 'B' style tank; which I really do like the look of,
you'll have to check the website out for a pic as It won't let me hot link a pic here.

both are made by that world famouse Chinese company Atasuki (sounds Japanese to me) :p
but are made to Clearseals specs, as Clearseal are the sole UK importers of these
http://www.atasuki.com/
(note; It will ask you to instal a chinese language pack; I strongly urge you to click cancel)

what do you guys think?

Looks a bit... weird. I wouldnt want one. For that price you could probably get a similiar sized or even bigger plain glass tank!

It looks like a bubble gum dispensing machine, too top heavy.

I prefer regular rectangles myself. In the purely decorative role I perceive an aquarium as a living piece of art - I make no secret that I'm mad on aquascaping. To this end an odd-shaped tank does little to compliment most compositions. The same way most pictures, posters etc. are rectangles, often in a set ratio i.e. 1:1.618 (the golden ratio) because this is the most aesthetically appealing. For me what's inside the aquarium should be the feature rather than the tank itself. In fact the less one notices the aquarium the better as far as I'm concerned, this way the design of the aquascape and the fish are by contrast more attractive i.e. http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=139508&hl=

I know which I'd prefer.

Each to their own though. There must be a market for this sort of thing otherwise they wouldn't make them.

I strongly agree with George, I really do prefer rectangular aquariums too. I've seen them B style tanks at Peter Barrats, but still prefer the rectangle ones to any, or maybe a nice L shaped one would be cool for a modern home.

yeah, top heavy. did anyone poke around on that web site? I found in "Catalog 1" that they make "four bay fisghter" tanks and a few other pre-divided tanks. I'd get one if I could find them here. Some of the different tank shapes they have on there are interesing, but I am still parital to the long tanks. Now if they had super long tanks, heck ya I'd buy a few.
