It woll probably change the colour slightly (ive been told this goes after a few months though)

Mine has not bought my pH down, I wish it would . I think if you have a fairly large piece it may. Mine still leaches a little into the water although it's getting better, soaked it for 2weeks before putting into the tank.

i would advise against mopani wood in a tropical tank

i have a tank with bogwood in and i have no troubles at all, but mopani seems to attract fungus and my piece is near covered in it

Yeah mines done this too luckly my plec & fish are eating most of it though
