Hi, I've got 2 Bristlenose, 1 Clown and 1 Queen Arabesque that I will be transferring to a new planted tank project.

I'm having problems sourcing bogwood in the shape/size that I want but can get some Mopani. I'm of the understanding that the Clown at least needs bogwood as part of his diet.... So do I need bogwood or can I get away with Mopani?

Many thanks

Imo mopani is too hard to have as ther only wood in a tank containing Panaque

I can see rasp marks on mine where they have had a go at it, but my tank also contains softer bogwood for them to munch on.

Thanks for that.

I'm guessing I could have a main mopani feature (that will be matted in riccia) then have a couple of smaller pieces for the plecs to eat....

Yeah, that sounds better.

A mix is always good gives them the choice, fish aint that stupid lol, they will soon cotton on too what they can munch (that may include the riccia as well!)
