Moonlights

i would say so, the add does not mention an inverter but it does say EVERYTHING you need. but at theat price, if you pop down to your local Maplns, they do a set for £10, thought it is designed for a computer, it does have all you need to do the job. thats where i got mine! all you need is a transformer.

same thing far cheaper

12" cold cathodes

search for 12" cold cathodes for many more sellers
also the 12V transformer you need should be rated above 800ma
anything less tends to burn out

You can build your own for pennies.....I built one for my FW. All you need is a wood ruler or slat, 4000MCD LEDs, small capacitors, wire and a little soldering and an old plug from an old battery charger with the adapter....IF...you like to DIY. SH

Worth remembering that while the blue moonlight looks nice and "natural" to us, it will be pretty bright to the fish. Most SW fish see very well in the blue range (whereas we are far more sensitive to yellow colours) so you will not see true nocturnal behaviour with a blue tube.

Put a red tube on there and you will be able to see what your tank does at night when the lights go out.
