For those of you that havn't copped an eyefull of my Tanganyikan tank in 'moonlight' then here it is, I am just so proud of it and the inhabitants enjoy it so much...... :D (and it only cost a score :shifty: )

I like the way that it looks on the rocks.

Are moonlights just regular dark blue LEDs or what?

Yes 'moonlighting is just blue leds although there are some very expensive alternatives (£200 odd!)

These babys are cable tied to the platic rim of the tank after (very carefully) drilling holes.

I also get a shimmering caused from the water exiting the filter
 
Hmmm. Just copy and pasted that item number into the eBay search, and the product came up. I might have to look into some of those. Do you know if white LEDs add lighting to the tank?

Yes the white ones will add light but more as a spot than diffussed
