Has anyone kept Mono Sebae with Mono Argenteus? Will they get along or even school together? I have 3 mono Sebaes and have recently found a couple of Monno Argenteus that I had thought about adding to the tank...

They get along as well as any two monos of the same species get along. Monos can be aggressive in small groups, but if you keep an eye on them you should be okay. I kept 3 argenteus and 1 sebae together, along with an archer and a Selenotoca sp. scat and they all got along swimmingly. This was in a ~200 gallon tank, though.

Cheers,

Neale

I dont think the tank they are in is big enough anyway, but thanks for the advice. Its only 60g.

60 g is a fairly small tank for monos. Admittedly, they normally only get to about 15 cm in home aquaria, but they are very active. I'd definitely look out for M. kottelati (an 8 cm species) if I had a tank that size. You might also consider things like "butterfly goby" waspfish, Butis butis, etc.

Cheers,

Neale
