I have a question about my mommy guppy that just gave birth on Christmas.
I heard that while they are pregnant and babies are forming they also hold some sperm from other male guppies.
Does this mean that she could be pregnant again and how long would I expect another batch from her again?
Is is best that if she is, I can seperate her from the male until she has all her expecting pregnancies and how would I know that she isn't carrying any more?
I really don't like to move her before she is due...because, she might get depressed and miscarriage or could even die from trying to get to the others.( fishes )

Yes, she is most likely pregnant again. She'll have another batch in about a month.

You could seperate her from the male, but she can have babies up to 7 times after that...so you'd have to leave her apart for 8-9 months, just to be sure.

Where do you move her to, when she's due?

I used to place my female guppies who are expecting in a birthing box...but, did not like it because it got dirty fast...so, I have a specific birthing tank just for the occasion.
1 gal tank..she has enough room to move around while delivering and the babies have a lot of hiding places. and when she is done...it is used as a nursery until they get older...

A 1 gallon tank is not big enough to grow a full batch of guppy fry. A 10 gallon would be the minimum IMO.
