well i brought 6 mollies yesterday and after getting them home one was looking really big so i decided to put her in my trap and 1/2 hour later she started having fry :D . she had 32 fry altogether.

It is the first time i have witnessed a birth so i was really pleased

I always take the time to watch for a while when one of my females is dropping fry. I'm afraid that more often I come home from work or wake up in the morning and find lots of new fry in a tank. It just isn't the same as witnessing the fry drop, although I love watching the young fry too. I have had drops in the last week of my Xenotoca eiseni and my Xenophallus umbratilis, golden teddies, and I always have plenty of new fry in my endler tank. They are so prolific it is sometimes hard to spot a new drop. Yes there are two tanks of endlers. I started keeping endlers with only 4 pairs about 2 years ago. There are always tons of fry in their tanks. Two weeks ago I had a nice drop of fry in my Skiffia lermae tank.

i have found that as well oldman.

my last two drop both happened over night so i missed them.

It was so nice to see the fry birth and i hope that my kids will be able to witness one as they are very interested in the fish.

I have only ever witnessed 1 drop from my female guppy.

Alessa x.
