my younger brother has a molly not long after having fry but her mouth is all bubbly blistery and swollen. it looks rotten and he really wants to help the fish any idea wat i can treat it with

Sorry, I have no idea what it is or how to treat it, I just thought I'd mention that that happened to my molly a couple of days after she gave birth last week.. unfortunately I lost her this morning :(. Hope you're able to help yours.

a very similar thing happened to my female platy whilst givin birth. at first i thought it was sick and bloating as the male platy died weeks before. but then it gave birth to only one baby platy and within a day the female died, i did read that with blockages that cause bloating u feed something bigger to wat they normally eat (with a limit to wat they can actually eat) so for mine i tried floating pellets. but allas it did not work, lets hope it does not end the same way as mine.

Could be mouth rot or fungus - either way they can be treated with medication such as Myxazin.

Not sure what the connection between mouth rot/fungus and having fry is, as those diseases are bacterial. Unless the stress from giving birth lowers their immune system, causing these infections to set in?
