Hi Today i was given 5 Molly Fry i have put them in my 25 litre tank away from my adult fish untill they are old enough to be released in to my main tank.
I was just wondering if they are different to care for than that of guppy and platy fry i have fry bites a fry raring food is that all i should be feeding them or do they need aditional suppliments, they are only about 2 days old. thanks

Feeding Veggies is a big part. As is making sure they are okay in your water. Nmonks's post here has explained the water part very well. Also, depending on the water you have, you might need to give them some vitamin/suppliments. Which you can do anyway, it won't hurt.

Otherwise, they are basically the same. Feed them 4-6 times per day, and try to alternate in some high-protein foods too. Best of luck raising them!

Sorry to hijack the string, but i'm just about to get 5 molly fry (2-3 cm) and put them in my community tank (see signature). I have a loan platy, I thought she was pregnant and would have some tank mates soon but seems she was just fat! I was wondering if these molly's would keep her company and shoal with her? Does anyone think this might happen. Failing that I'll just have to get 2 more platy's. ho hum

It's unlikely they'll stay together, like more of her own kind. They might cross paths once in a while, but I'd doubt they'd be the same kind of company.

no you didnt misunderstand thank you for your reply and for blitztiduss' information i was covering all basis so ppl didnt have to ask nemore questions about the fry!!!
