Last weekend I noticed 2 of my mollies (a silver & a dalmation) swiming vertically and looking unbalanced, both had swollen stomachs & were off their food. I suspected constipation so added some Interpet general tonic & fed them shelled peas. Within 48 hours the silver molly was right as rain but the dalmation, although not as swollen had made no improvement. After another 48 hours with no improvement I ran carbon through the filter to remove the tonic, did a 30% water change with the gravel vac & treated the tank with Interpet swim bladder treatment 13.

48 hours on from adding that treatment we still have no change. On the plus side she is not getting worse & is still taking veg flake & a bit of algae wafer and all the other tank mates seem fine. As soon as the battery is charged on my camera I'll try & grab some video of her. This is the wife's favorite fish, normally a very cheeky & inquisitive thing that wil follow you round the tank  .

Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

The only time a med will work is if its bacterial.
Is the fish bloated.
Swim bladder is caused by bad water quality, bad diet of to many dried foods, unstable temp, injury, birth defect, bacterial, internal parasites.

Thanks for this Wilder, if youtube get a move on I will get some video of her posted.

If she swollen usually epson salt baths to draw fluids out.
Are her scales sticking out.
When did you last see her go to the toilet, what did it look like.

What do you normally feed the fish as to many freeze dried foods can lead to swim bladder and contipation.
Frozen daphnia very good at it helps the fish digest it's food, and peas are a laxative.

I saw her got to the toilet yesterday just a small pellet-like motion.

Normal diet is tetra veg flake & an algae wafer but we've added a couple of peas each night since she first became ill, I have some frozen daphnia so I'll get it defrosted tonight. No sign of her scales sticking out.

Can I use epsom salts if I have the danios & barbs in the wtaer or do I need to get a hospital tank set up?

Here's a video of her;

You can do epson salt baths, or set the hospital tank up for her and put the salt in there.
The diet could do with some change like more frozen foods in daphnia and brime strimp.
Green veg like broc, cabbage, spinach, cucumba, peas, lettuce sproats.
Feed peas twice a week as it keep fish going to the toilet.
What colour was her waste?

A greyish green colour.

I have all those veg in the house so I'll start preparing them & get some variation in her diet.

Thank you so much for taking the time to help, I really appreciate it.
