Molly With Loose Scales?

The scales between his boy parts and his tail fin seem to be loose. He hasn't lost any yet but they look loose and it sort of bugs me, like when someone has something in their teeth and you can't really do anything about it...

Are their any reasons his scales could be loose? He doesn't seem uncomfortable or anything, other than his little scale problem he's totally normal.
I do water changes once a week and the water parameters are fine, the tank is cycled and not over stocked... Could competition with my other male Molly be putting stress on him or do Mollies shed their scales?

Agree, sounds like dropsy. Treat it asap

If you could post a pic, that would help a ton. It might not be dropsy, but it sounds like it. Don't treat until you're sure.
